Poppy Seed Breadsticks

Dress up refrigerated breadsticks with savory seasonings ?to serve a hot, homemade-tasting bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
  • 2 (12-count) cans refrigerated breadsticks
  • 2 (12-count) cans refrigerated breadsticks
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Combine poppy seeds, garlic powder and onion salt in a small bowl and mix well.

  3. Arrange breadsticks on a baking sheet. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with poppy seed mixture. Twist breadsticks into spirals.

  4. Bake until golden, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Secret Tip

The microwave is the quickest way to melt butter. But using the HIGH setting can cause butter to overheat and "explode" in a mess in the microwave. So heat on LOW (15% power) or DEFROST, depending on how your microwave is configured. Microwave for 20 seconds, turn and micro­wave until completely melted.
