Almond Crescents
These cookies are simple to make and keep well for days-if they last that long!

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 2/3 cup ground almonds
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Beat the butter, almonds and granulated sugar together in a mixing bowl. Sift the flour and salt together. Beat into the butter mixture gradually. Chill, covered, in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Roll chilled dough 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface. Cut into 36 squares. Shape into crescents. Arrange on a baking sheet.
Bake until set, about 14 to 16 minutes; do not brown. Let stand until slightly cooled.
Combine confectioners' sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and mix well. Roll the cookies carefully in confectioners' sugar mixture. Arrange on a wire rack to cool.
