Ingredients

  • 40 graham cracker singles
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 15- x 10-inch baking pan.

  2. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer in prepared baking pan.

  3. Combine butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in almonds. Spoon evenly over graham crackers.

  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Let stand to cool for 10 minutes. Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Secret Tip

Use waxed paper for quicker preparation and cleanup. Grease just the sides of the baking pan. Then cut a sheet of waxed paper to fit the bottom. Waxed paper is oven-safe up to 350°F, and the crisps will lift right off of it.
