Ingredients

  • 4 medium bananas
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice bananas. Divide evenly among 4 individual ramekins.

  2. Combine 2 tablespoons butter and lemon juice in a small bowl and mix well. Drizzle over bananas.

  3. Combine the oats, walnuts, brown sugar and remaining butter in a small bowl and mix well. Sprinkle evenly over bananas.

  4. Bake until bananas are hot and topping is bubbly, about 12 minutes. Serve with ice cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Secret Tip

For a tropical taste, use lime juice instead of lemon juice and add 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger. Substitute coconut for the walnuts, which can also save you the time it takes to chop walnuts.
