Chocolate Candied Apples
These candied apples are quicker than traditional candied apples, but they’re still the stuff of memorable childhood parties.

Ingredients
- 6 Golden Delicious or Gala apples
- 4 (2-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 1/2 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
Directions
Remove stems from apples. Insert a craft stick into the stem end of each apple.
Combine semisweet chocolate and cinnamon in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on HIGH, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted, about 11/2 minutes.
Coat each apple with chocolate mixture. Let apples stand on waxed paper to cool.
Place white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH, stirring frequently, until melted, about 1 minute. Drizzle over chocolate-covered apples. Chill until serving time.
Secret Tip
If you find it challenging to push the craft stick into the stem end of the apple, try using a meat mallet or rolling pin to tap it in like a nail. Hold it near the bottom and tap gently.
