Orange Pork Chops
Simple preparation and just a few ingredients make this a great choice when it’s Dad’s turn to cook.
Prep Time:
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 6 boneless pork chops (about 3/4 inch thick)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade, melted
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon refrigerated minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Directions
Preheat grill to medium.
Sprinkle pork chops with salt and black pepper. Grill 6 inches from heat, brushing occasionally with marmalade, until cooked through, about 6 minutes per side.
Meanwhile, combine orange juice, soy sauce, garlic and thyme in a small skillet. Cook over high heat, stirring frequently, until reduced by two-thirds, about 5 minutes. Serve over the pork chops.
Secret Tip
Save yourself cleaning a pan or dish by letting the heat of the grill or broiler melt the marmalade. Just place a spoonful of marmalade on each chop as it grills. It will melt as the chop heats up, then you can spread it around. Repeat after turning the chops.
