Balsamic Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Directions
Preheat oven to 500°F. Grease an 11- x 7-inch baking dish.
Arrange asparagus in prepared dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and sesame oil. Bake asparagus for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, place sesame seeds in a baking pan. Bake, stirring once, for 3 minutes.
Drizzle balsamic vinegar over asparagus. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.

Drizzling olive oil on the asparagus helps keep the exterior tender. For a quick and thorough way to coat asparagus with oil, place the spears in a clean plastic bag, then pour in the oil. Close the top and shake. Just pour the asparagus directly into the baking dish.
