Shredded Potatoes au Gratin
Using frozen shredded hash brown potatoes takes the work out of this traditional potato classic, so the cook can just sit back and enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 pound frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine hash brown potatoes, whipping cream, 11/4 cups Cheddar, green onions, salt and black pepper in a large bowl and mix well.
Spoon potato mixture into four individual 1-cup baking dishes or one 11 ยด 7-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with the remaining Cheddar. Bake until hot and bubbly, about 25 minutes.
Secret Tip
Preshredded Cheddar cheese is a time-saver, but shredding your own is a snap using a food processor or box grater. You can shred large amounts, then freeze the excess for later use.
