Crunchy Apple Salad
Apples and nuts make a convenient and quick salad any time of year, especially in autumn, the height of apple season.

Ingredients
- 3 Red Delicious apples, chopped
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup extra-creamy whipped topping
- 1/4 cup pecan pieces
Directions
Place apples in a large bowl. Sprinkle with lemon juice and stir to coat.
Add celery, marshmallows, mayonnaise and whipped topping and mix well.
Spoon into a serving dish. Sprinkle with pecans and serve. Store any remaining salad, covered, in the refrigerator.
Secret Tip
You can make short work of chopping apples with an apple corer/slicer. This device, placed on top of an apple and pushed through, cuts out the core and slices the apple into eight pieces. Just cut across the slices for quickly chopped apples.
