Classic Tuna Melt
A tuna melt is proof that a comforting dinner doesn’t ?require hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients
- 2 (6-ounce) cans water-packed tuna, drained
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 slices American cheese
Directions
Preheat broiler.
Flake the tuna in a bowl. Add mayonnaise, relish, mustard and onion; mix well.
Toast bread slices lightly on both sides under broiler or in toaster.
Spread tuna mixture on 4 of the bread slices. Arrange on broiler pan. Place a cheese slice on each sandwich.
Broil until cheese is melted. Top with remaining bread slices. Cut in half diagonally. Serve immediately.
Secret Tip
Feel free to use whatever cheese you have on hand in place of the American cheese. Swiss cheese and Monterey Jack cheese work well.
