Maple Chicken
The combination of spices, herbs and maple syrup creates a delicious candied coating for tender chicken breasts.

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 bone-in, skinless chicken-breast halves (about 5 ounces each)
- Butter-flavor nonstick cooking spray
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 500°F. Spray a shallow baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Combine paprika, salt, cinnamon, tarragon, cumin and black pepper in a medium bowl and mix well. Coat chicken with paprika mixture. Arrange in prepared pan.
Spray coated chicken generously with butter-flavor nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 15 minutes.
Combine maple syrup and butter in a small bowl and mix well.
Brush chicken with maple syrup mixture. Bake for 5 minutes. Turn over chicken. Brush with maple syrup mixture.
Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in center of meat registers 180°F, about 5 minutes.
Secret Tip
If you have a pastry brush, coating the chicken with the maple syrup mixture is a snap. If you don't, pour maple syrup mixture into a small squeeze-top bottle.
